One family story becomes one application-ready file.

The work changes shape as you move. First you decide which line matters. Then you prove it, prepare it, and apply without losing the decisions that got you there.

Two clocks run on your case. You only control one.

About 30 days · Yours

Discover, Build, Prepare.

Moves at whatever speed you move. Nothing here waits on a government.

Months to years · Theirs

Apply onward.

Ireland, Italy and Canada set this one, and nothing anyone sells you speeds it up.

Why start now?

Not because a deadline is being manufactured. Because the work has its own clocks, and they begin before an application is ready to file.

Start with the question that determines which path and records matter.

Processing times are lengthening.

Canada's pending citizenship-certificate queue grew from 40,400 in December 2025 to 99,500 in July 2026. Across the same reporting window, IRCC's estimated wait rose from 9 months to 19 months.

Rules are under active revision.

Ireland's Passport Service said in June 2025 that it was reviewing the foreign-birth registration process, while Italy and Canada changed citizenship-by-descent rules in 2025. Those developments are a reason to check the current rules for your family—not a prediction that any program will close.

Document access windows can shift.

Civil registries digitize collections, transfer older holdings, and apply access rules that can vary by record type, age, or relationship. Finding the right custodian early gives you time to use the route available for the record you actually need.

Delay compounds before filing begins.

A registry's search, certification, and delivery clock starts only after the right request reaches the right office. Waiting a month to identify that request adds a month before the application can begin, on top of the registry's own turnaround.

Build

Put the whole family on one line.

A birthplace is a starting fact. The family relationships and the law decide whether citizenship could have reached you.

Build one shared tree

Names, dates, places, and relationships stay in one family case instead of splintering across relatives.

Test the legal chain

Naturalization timing, maternal and paternal rules, registration requirements, and generation limits are checked against the exact program.

Separate shared from private

Reusable ancestor evidence can serve the family while each applicant’s identity documents remain applicant-scoped.

Prepare

Order the right record, from the right place, once.

Event location, year, record type, intended use, and applicant relationship determine the authority and channel—not the family’s best guess.

Route every request

State, county, archive, court, USCIS, and foreign civil registries can each own a different part of the evidence chain.

Order in sequence

Batch the records the family shares, keep personal copies separate, and avoid paying the same service and shipping costs repeatedly.

Prepare each document

Certified copies, no-record evidence, apostilles, legalisation, and translations stay attached to the program rule that requires them.

Order vital records inside Heritage Passport

Apply

File the case in the order the program expects.

The form, document treatment, witness step, evidence packet, and submission channel have to follow the sequence for the exact program.

Complete the supported application

Reviewed case facts are reused while unresolved fields stay visible for the applicant to correct.

Review before signing

The applicant checks every generated field and completes any witness or notarization step under the current instructions.

Stage and submit

The evidence packet is assembled in the expected order while outstanding records and applicant actions remain visible.

Variable claims appear only with a source and date.

We cannot make a government decide faster. Nobody can.

Heritage Passport is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, file on your behalf, or influence a government queue.

Some cases need a specialist. When the facts point to a judicial route, contested record, or legal interpretation, the platform should make that boundary clear rather than pretending software replaces counsel.

The questions families ask before they begin.

Clear answers, before a case turns into a stack of orders and forms.

How long does the process take?

Two clocks. The first is yours: getting your family in, finding the records, ordering them in the right sequence. That takes about thirty days and moves at whatever speed you move. The second belongs to the government you're applying to, and nobody can speed it up. What the first one decides is whether you spend the second waiting for an answer or waiting to find out you filed wrong.

Do I need every family record before I start?

No. Start with the people, dates, and places you know. The useful first result is which line deserves proof—not a demand that you already have every certificate.

Can my family work on the same case?

Yes. Relatives can share the family line and reusable ancestor research while keeping each applicant's identity documents and filing steps separate.

Does Heritage Passport replace an attorney?

No. It organizes the family line, records, requirements, and application work. Judicial routes, contested records, and legal interpretation may still need qualified counsel.

You already have the family story. Now find the path.
